After Weather, a new Apple app is coming to iPad (it's not Calculator)

While Apple Music's Voice package recently fell by the wayside, it seems that the catalog of the Classical version of the platform has a bright future: an iPad version is out. Arriving this year, Apple Music Classical focuses – as its name suggests – solely on classical music. According to the publisher, this is even the service which currently has the largest number of titles in this area.

Apple Music Classical is accessible provided you have already subscribed to an Apple Music plan. You then have to count on 10.99 euros per month to afford it, for a single user and without going throughle bundle Apple Oneallowing you to save a few dollars.

Then, you will have to go through the Apple Music Classical app, available on the App Store. The experience is obviously optimized for the associated genre, however classical music productions still remain available on the basic Apple Music app if needed.

To test for free!

As a reminder, Apple Music can be tried free of charge for one month. If you are dissatisfied, simply stop the subscription to avoid being charged at the end of the evaluation period. A good way to form an opinion on Classical's offering, which gives pride of place to imposing visuals to illustrate record covers or the names of composers.

For comparison, Spotify also offers many classic titles – but fewer than Apple (more than five million for the Apple firm). The Swede's price is now modeled on the positioning of that of Cupertino, except for the family subscription at 17.99 euros per month; 1 euro more expensive than Apple Music. The latter allows several members of the same household to share the account.

Limited compatibility

For the moment, however, Apple Music Classical can only be installed on a small portion of Apple devices. So, althoughan Android edition is on the agenda, no version for Mac or for Apple TV is available at this time, and it is not known whether this will be the case soon or not.

For users, however, AirPlay technology should make it possible to quickly stream sound to a HomePod, to other speakers or to AirPods wireless headphones.
