iOS 18.1 has arrived on all compatible iPhoneson the evening of Monday October 28. Of course, the availability of the first Apple Intelligence functions represents the main advantage of moving to this new version. French users will have to wait a bit to discover them however.Apple Intelligence will not arrive until April 2025 in France.This doesn't mean there's no point in installing iOS 18.1 on your iPhone now.A few features might just convince you to upgrade to this new version of Apple's operating system.
Apple Music and TikTok Links
Apple Music now includes advanced sharing with TikTokon iOS 18.1. By selecting the “share song” option from Apple Music, you can now stream it as a video, photo, or private message with an embedded audio clip. If you choose to create a new post,TikTok will automatically use your chosen music as a soundtrack.

Evolution of the control center
iOS 18.1 also changes the control center, as shown in the developer betas published by Apple during the month of October. A section titled “Measurements” now includes “Measurement” and “Level” buttons. In the “Connectivity” section, users can finddedicated controls for AirDrop, VPN and Wi-Fi.

Fewer bugs thanks to iOS 18.1
As always, the most recent version of iOS brings bug fixes. InPodcasts, it could happen that unread episodes appear as read,but that won't be the case from now on. Additionally, iOS 18.1 fixes the issue where 4K videos at 60 FPS could sometimes not be played correctly from the Photos app. A bug could also prevent a digital car key from properly unlocking a vehicle with the self-access system, but the update should resolve the issue.
