iOS 18.1 would add a new button to the Control Center

iOS 18.1 (and therefore Apple Intelligence) would arrive on October 28next according to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg. A particularly late launch date that should still be taken with a grain of salt while awaiting official confirmation from the Apple brand.

Apple perhaps has more pressing matters to manage thanthe release of Apple Intelligence, since it still has not deployed the developers beta 6 of iOS 18.1, probably because of a bug. In any case, the control center could evolve in this new version and beequipped with a new command for the satellite connection.

A button dedicated to satellite connection added to the control center on iOS 18.1?

Aaron Perris, a journalist at MacRumors, reports that the sixth beta of iOS 18.1 should introduce a new button to the Control Center on iPhone 14 and later models. It would be dedicated to the satellite connection and would be found in the “connectivity” sectionalongside controls for Wi-Fi, cellular data and Bluetooth.

Since the launch of iOS 18 and its system of pages in the control center, you had to go to a specific page of the combined module to access the satellite connection button. So here's how to activate (or deactivate) this new feature of iOS 18 more quickly. All that remains is to wait for the release of Beta 6 for users wishing to experience the command for themselves. For now, they must be content withiOS 18.1 Developer Beta 5.

Remember that you have the freedomcustomize Control Center with your own shortcuts on iOS 18.You can add commands as well as delete the ones you use the least on your iPhone. This is one of themany new features of iOS 18, which also transform flagship applications like Messages and Photos.
