Apple has recently presented many new features for iOS, which should arrive next fall. Multiple native iPhone apps are entitled tosignificant improvements, including Mail. The latter benefits, for example, from automatic sorting into categories, as Apple specifies:
Mail will offer users new ways to manage their inbox and stay up to date. On-device categorization classifies and sorts incoming emails into different categories: Primary for personal and urgent emails, Transactions for confirmations and receipts, Updates for news and social media notifications, and Promotions for marketing messages and coupons.
This feature uses machine learning, therefore artificial intelligence, but is not part ofla suite Apple Intelligence.Users who do not have a compatible iPhone will therefore be able to take advantage of it! As a reminder, only the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, or any iPhone 16 will be able to run Apple Intelligence.

Concerningsorting emails in iOS 18, ilapparently in development since iOS 13, more than five years. A prototype of intelligent email sorting was indeed discovered on an iPhone new features.
The prototype of the email app present in iOS 13 undoubtedly inspired the version presented in iOS 18, becauseViewing and sorting emails is similar. In both versions, we find a categorization of emails using a color code.
It often happens to Apple to integrate features years late, we have proof here. Especially since the Gmail application has benefited from intelligent sorting since 2013, but it is better late than never.
