1- Shortcuts in your image, on the locked screen

With iOS 18, no more shortcuts imposed on the lock screen! You can finally choose the ones that will be most useful to you on a daily basis. Calculator, Phone, Notes… It’s up to you.

To personalize your shortcuts, head to the lock screen settings,as explained there. You will then be able to select up to four options from a list provided by Apple. A guaranteed saving of time and efficiency.

2- Better managed autonomy

The new functionality ofload limitof iOS 18 is a real asset for preserving the health of your battery. This option is also exclusive to iPhone 15 and 16. It allows you to set a maximum charge percentage, between 50% and 90%.

On social networks and other forums like Reddit, those who have old iPhone models complain a lot. It is true that it seems surprising to us to see the functionality only available on the iPhone 15 and 16. In any case, once the limit threshold is reached, your iPhone stops charging, even if it remains plugged in. By stopping full charges at 100%, your battery gains longer life.

3- A converter in the calculator

The Calculator application has a very practical tool: a unit and currency converter, accessible with one tap. No more bothering with internet searches for everyday conversions.

Simply open the app and select the "Convert" tab at the bottom of the screen.

4- Safari free of distractions

Safari’s “Hide annoying elements” mode offers a more peaceful browsing experience. It allows you to say goodbye to popups and other invasive windows. To access it, in Safari, you must press the small icon to the left of the URL in the address bar, then choose “Hide annoying elements”.

Then, on your viewed web page, simply touch the elements to hide. You can therefore concentrate on the essentials, in particular to enjoy more pleasant navigation and reading of content.
