iPhone 13: finally a bigger battery?

Next fall, a new generation of iPhone should arrive. This should offer a nice set of improvements compared to the current generation. That's all well and good, but one of the improvements that users often expect with each new generation does not concern internet speed, photo capabilities, or screen display quality. Make way for the drums!

According to the analyst, Apple is working to change the internal design of its next iPhones with one and only objective: to make more room for a larger battery. Because, this is still the case in 2021, to benefit from better autonomy, the only effective solution is to equip the device in question with a larger battery, quite simply.

So, inside the next generation of iPhone, the SIM card slot should be integrated into the motherboard and the TrueDepth camera should become thinner, with possibly other reorganizations of other components.

Better battery life would be more than welcome on iPhone 13 or 12S. Indeed, the iPhone 12 overall experienced a small drop in battery life compared to the previous generation. Several causes for this: the arrival of 5G, which is energy-intensive, but also, in the case of the mini model, a small format implying a limited battery size and therefore ultimately uncomfortable autonomy.

But increasing the battery size will not be enough if, as with 5G, the new features offered by Apple for its 2021 iPhones consume more energy. We hope that work will also be done at this level and that the equation “larger battery + less demanding components = better autonomy” will be respected.
