MaJ 03/12: Netatmo has informed us that this HomeKit Secure Video support is working for the momentonly as part of the beta testing programfrom Netatmo.
Last week,Apple updatedpage on its website, which lists all devices and accessories compatible with HomeKit. This page mentioned that only Logitech's Circle 2 camera supported the HomeKit Secure Video feature, but cited Netatmo products with upcoming support.
Well, since this weekend, Netatmo has started the deployment of a new update which adds support for HomeKit Secure Video for the interior camera, insale here on Amazon. The exterior camera should follow soon.
As a reminder, HomeKit Secure Video allows the user to enjoy videos recorded by the HomeKit accessory, directly in iCloud.
HomeKit automatically uploads videos from the last 10 days to Apple's cloud, with end-to-end encryption. This means that no one, not even Apple, can see the content.
The user can view these videos directly from the iOS Home application.
If you want a security camera that supports HomeKit Secure Video, you now have two models to choose from, theNetatmo indoor camera, or theCircle 2 de Logitech.
