Apple's streaming service available from next April?

We learned yesterday via the BuzzFeed site that Apple would have plannedan event on March 25at its premises in Apple Park. This conference would be devoted to “subscription services”. Notably, a magazine subscription service has been mentioned as one of the potential announcements.

It would also be likely that Appleunveils other new services, including the famousvideo content offering. At least that’s what a new report from the American channel CNBC suggests.

According to CNBC sources, Apple is in the process of completing launch preparations for its TV content offering. The service would beavailable in Aprilnext, which corroboratesa previous reportdu journal The Information.

Original films and series produced by Apple would beavailable free of charge, for all users of Apple products. At the same time, Apple would offer a subscription platform to other channels and streaming services.

Apple would offer this TV content offering through the Apple TV application on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. On this occasion, the Californian firm would release a new version of the app, completely revised for its new service.

Netflix would not be part of this offerfrom Apple, which is not surprising, because for several months it has no longer offered the possibility of subscribing in its iOS app, in order to avoid paying a large commission to Apple.

For this new service, Apple would seek to obtain a 30% commission on each subscription to a partner channel that was made through its new platform. This doesn't seem to please everyone. Some channels are still reluctant to embark on the adventure.

2019 is ultimately shaping up to be the year of services for Apple.
