If you closely follow Apple's news, you've probably heard of the highly anticipated iPhone 17 Air, but do you know Apple's hidden lens with this new model?
Analyst Jeff was told us yesterday thatApple worked actively on iPhone and folding iPads,etThe iPhone 17 Air may be a life -size testFor these future innovations. In any case, this is what a new report suggests.
A project initially more ambitious
Mark Gurman de Bloomberg claims that the current design of the iPhone 17 Air is actually a watered -down version of a much more radical project. Apple would have consideredlaunch an iPhone without any physical portFrom this fall, based only on the recharge and transfer of wireless data. The firm would have fallen, however,Fearing to attract the wrath of European regulators.
Likewise, the 6.9 inch screen initially planned was reduced to 6.6 inches to avoid a newControversy at the Bendgate. The iPhone 17 Air therefore remains a compromise compared to the initial vision of Apple.
A springboard to revolutionary iPhone
If the iPhone 17 Air meets its audience, it could open the way to much more innovative devices in the years to come. Gurman explains that Apple intends to rely on the technological advances of this model in terms of battery, screen, modem and chips to integrate everything on the foldable iPhone from 2026.
The firm would also multiply attempts to launch an iPhone without any port. By 2026 or 2027, the elements of the Dynamic Island should finally be integrated under the screen, as rumors have claimed for several years. Apple was considering it as a reminder to integrate aDynamic Island smaller on the iPhone 17 Pro, but that will not be the case ultimately.
The iPhone 17 Air would therefore mark the start of a turning point for Cupertino, with the ambition to offer an iPhone with afull screenIn the future, without any visible sensor:
