Following Apple's keynotes, big changes can sometimes occur within the brand's store. And that’s precisely what happened, quite recently. The MagSafe external battery has therefore disappeared from the Apple Store, as has the MagSafe dual charger. With this, the AirPods wireless charging case is no longer sold alone. So, from now on, if you lose yours, you will have to buy the wireless headphones as well. While Apple promotes its commitments to the environment, it is quite a shame to no longer see it offering the case alone.
This could, however, be explained quite simply. Indeed, the AirPods Pro case has just changed. It is still the second generation, but the Lightning port has disappeared for the first time in favor of USB-C connectivity. However, stocks may not yet be there. It must be said that Apple's subcontractors must also anticipate huge sales for the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Pro.
Where to buy the MagSafe external battery?
With the MagSafe external battery gone from the Apple Store, it's hard to know where to get it. But that’s without taking into account the presence of the product on the Amazon online store, which we have spotted. Stocks are therefore still available, but we do not yet know for how long at the moment.
The price of the MagSafe battery is 119.99 euros on Amazon. But alternatives up to six times cheaper are also available on Jeff Bezos' site, from brands other than Apple.
Where to buy the MagSafe dual charger?
The MagSafe dual charger is also still available at certain French retailers. This is particularly the case at Fnac, Darty and Amazon.
The advantage of the MagSafe dual charger is that, as the name suggests, it can power up to two devices at the same time. For example, it could be a duoSecond generation AirPods Pro/ iPhone 14 Pro Max, or a pair of iPhone 14 Pro /Apple Watch.
No major accessories were presented at the last Apple Event. But future new products with USB-C connectivity could emerge in the coming weeks.
