Smartphones and other objects
connected are increasingly popular Christmas gifts in recent
years, and Apple is usually placed at the top of the list of present, this
year is no exception to the rule.
Indeed, according to the company Flurry Analytics, which publishes each year a
Flurry statistical study detailing percentages of new devices
activated during Christmas week,Apple still dominates with 44% of
enabled devicesunder the tree.
However, this year even if Apple's figures are good, they remain
below figures from previous years, namely
49% of devices activated in 2015, et51% in 2014.
And still in second position behind Apple in this ranking, we
findSamsung with 21% of devices activated, a number
which increases slightly from year to year, with 19.8% in 2015 and 17.7% in
2014.
It seems that the explosive Galaxy Note 7 scandal has not had too much impact
purchasing new Samsung brand devices as holiday gifts
Noël.
This year also sees new brands appear in this ranking,
like Huawei in 3rd position with 3%, followed by LG, Amazon, Oppo, Xiaomi, and
Motorola all with a figure of 2% of activated devices.
2016 also confirms the continued success over the last three years
(from the introduction of the iPhone 6 Plus) large screen sizes (5
to 6.9 inches) orphablets which represent 37% of new
enabled devices, an increase of 10 points compared to the year
previous.
Are you one of the 44% of Apple devices activated during the week?
