What's new in iOS 7: the list of applications that could suffer when it is released

that these applications are inevitably destined to disappear.

Here is an overview of those affected:

Airdrop :

Currently only available on Mac, the arrival of AirDrop on iOS
is really a good thing. For the record, this service allows direct exchange
files via WiFi or Bluetooth.

However, some developers may not see this completely.

iCloud KeyChain

Very practical at least on paper, iCloud KeyChain is a manager of
passwords, WiFi identifiers and other credit cards which will be integrated into
Safari in iOS and OS X.

In other words, if you use Safari on a Mac running OS
Mavericks and an iPhone or iPad running iOS 7 then the service offered by Apple
will no longer have to remember passwords and the like
identifiers.

We immediately think of the dark future of one of our favorite apps on
Mac et iOS :1Password,
a very complete password manager that allows synchronization
passes between the iPhone, Mac or Windows and the different browsers of the
walk.

Future compromised therefore, but... Once again KeyChain will be limited to
homemade products so at Safari. Chrome or Firefox users will be
always customers of this type of solution.

Flashlight

If the two types of applications that we have just seen fare better
Well, it won't be the same for everyone. Indeed, the brand new
'control center' which will appear by sliding from bottom to top on
the screen, embarksa flashlight buttonwhich turns on the flash
of the iPhone.

Always present at your fingertips, the function should supplant the
third-party apps which currently abound on the App Store, unless they offer
advanced functions…

Spirit level

Surprisingly, the iOS 7 compass app has a surprise in store. Besides a
redesigned like the rest of iOS, the compass offers a second page which
offers a new kind of spirit level.

Symbolized by circles which, when joining together, become green, here is the
bubble level Jony Ive version. Not sure that the most DIY enthusiasts will swap

a good old iHandyfor this more designer version… But hey it’s
integrated!

Delayed playback

By further improving playlists on Mac and iOS, Apple
could also threaten applications such as Instapaper or
Pocket.

However, and as we saw above for AirDrop, these improvements
only really make sense if you use Safari on Mac and iOS, which
is not necessarily the case for everyone.

Weather report

And Yahoo was luckyits weather app
very recentlywith a very remarkable design, there is no doubt that
the native iOS weather app will be able to overshadow it and...that's the least
we can say. Here are the two side by side

Good news… It’s Yahoo! which also powers the iOS Weather app
since its very beginnings and this continues with iOS 7. This will limit
damage!

See you in a few months to find out who will still be there and
what has changed. But let's remember that iCloud didn't kill Dropbox...at least
opposite.
