iOS and iPadOS 14.3: what changes and new features?

After the release of iOS 14.2 at the beginning of November, Apple logically moved to iOS 14.3 without much delay. Here is precisely what this new version of Apple's mobile operating system offers:

In addition to the correction of various bugs (notably that of not receiving MMS in the Messages app) and the improvement of the general performance of the OS, here is what the new version 14.3 brings:

  • Photo :support for the new ProRAW photo format introduced by Apple during the announcement of the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max: the format can be set up in the iOS settings. Be careful, the size of ProRAW images is enormous, it would be around 25 MB per file. Editing ProRAW files is possible in the Photos app on iOS

  • Video :support for 25 frames per second option
  • Game :support for the DualSense controller of the new Sony PS5 console and support for the Amazon Luna game controller
  • System :new third-party app recommendations section wheninitializationof iOS on an iPhone or iPad: it may not appear for all users. This would actually depend on the geographical area where the user is located and in particular on the rules in force in the region regarding anti-competitive practices.
  • Shortcuts :return of the action allowing you to set up a wallpaper for iOS

  • New Fitness+ app :arrival of Apple Fitness+ on iOS 14.3 and watchOS 7.2. Find different training sessions for various sports, recommendations, but also recommendations for content to watch (not available in France for the moment)
