A new Apple TV+ series takes precedence over all others

Apple has just released its “Originals” Sunny series, which is available on the Apple TV+ platform, since Wednesday July 10. She wasannounced in 2022, and stars Rashida Jones, in the role of Suzie, an American who lives in Japan.

Overnight, Suzie's life is turned upside down after a tragic plane crash, which takes away her husband and son. As a consolation,her late husband's company gives her one of the domestic robots it sells,named Sunny. At first, Suzie firmly rejects the robot, but little by little,a bond is created, until it becomes a strong friendship.

More than 90% satisfaction

The story seems to have delighted spectators, since the new Apple TV+ production can boast of having broken a record. It has in fact exceeded all Apple Original series released in 2024, thanks toa satisfaction rating that reached 91% on RottenTomatoes. The latter is a directory of reference films and series, renowned for its reliable reviews. Every month, it is visited 70 million times. Since then, the rating has fallen below 90%, but the record has indeed been broken.
