Morgan Stanley predicts iPhone 8-related “supercycle”

THE
latest rumors
report an iPhone 8 which would offer a new design
all glass, with an edge-to-edge OLED screen andprovided by Samsung, Touch ID integrated under the screen, charging
wireless,a steel caseinstead of aluminum, and awaterproofing
improved
.

According to Morgan Stanley analysts, Apple will experience this year
a renewal “supercycle” for the iPhone 8who should
logically use new technologies, and consequently a reduction
of iPhone 7 sales.

Analyst Katy Huberty believes that the Cupertino company will record
revenues down 3% on estimates, because
low demand from users who are waiting for the iPhone
8.

Still according to Morgan Stanley, the arrival of the iPhone 8 could
boost iPhone sales by 20% in 2018, because of a
strong demand from users who preferred to pass their turn for the iPhone
6s and 7.

Apple is scheduled to announce its next quarterly results on January 31
next year, an important fiscal quarter because it includes sales during
holiday periods and allows us to judge the success of the iPhone 7, and to see if it
new model has managed to stop a steady decline in sales since the
beginning of 2016.
