Otterbox,
manufacturer ofshells
resistant for smartphonesoffers a shell system called
uniVERSE what
presented here. This is a series of modular hulls, with
possibility of adding a specific module depending on use: lenses
for camera, battery, speaker, storage, etc.
To promote your system and allow everyone to expand its use
of the iPhone, the manufacturer has made the files available to the general public
allowing you to print in 3D any module imagined or recovered from
internet.
You must therefore own or use a 3D printer or go to a
place that allows you to use 3D printers, like the famous3D
Hubs, or these workshops making available to the general public
equipment of this type. There are also in France in several large
cities, the list of these places isaccessible here.
Otterbox has a few module templates ready to print, but
it is also possible to start from scratch. Everyone is free to imagine and
design the module that would be most useful to him, provided he has a
uniVERSE compatible coke.
Otterbox sells them for iPhone 6, 6s and 7, as well as models 6, 6s and
7 “More.” The basic selling price is 31.99 euros per case. It is possible
to get one of these caseson the store
official, while modules are also on sale there between 20 and 60
euros depending on the type, from a fish-eye lens to a bike mount and more
through a loudspeaker.
A good idea!
