As you probably know, Google has
recently purchased the Sparrow email client for Mac and iPhone. For this reason,
the Sparrow adventure comes to an abrupt end since the team will now integrate into
the one who is in charge of Gmail.
However, some do not see this acquisition favorably and
are demanding body and soul to maintain Sparrow. a petition is even available
on the web:
The petition, hosted at change.org, aims to change Google
of opinion and to maintain Sparrow in one form or another thus giving
the example for future acquisitions of the search engine.
Remember that the Sparrow team was actively working on an iPad version
which, as a result, will never see the light of day. If you are interestedthe petition
is available herebut, we must not forget that in any case it is
Google will have the last word.
