Rumor: an iPhone 8 “Edition” close to the Galaxy S8, Touch ID on the back, etc…

Today, Samsung will unveil around 5 p.m.
in New York, its highly anticipated Galaxy S8, a model originally planned for the
last month, but which had been postponed to carry out tests
additional and avoid the setbacks of the Galaxy Note 7.

The Galaxy S8 was the victim of afoites festivalin all
kind with photos and videos. According to a new rumor from
Apple production lines, the iPhone 8 or "Edition" would look like
a lot to the Galaxy S8
.

According to a source from the iDrop News site who would have been in contact with
Foxconn employees, the iPhone 8 would be called the iPhone Edition, a name that
had been put forward by aprevious
report from the Japanese site MacOtakara
at the beginning of the month.

According to this same source, an iPhone Edition prototype would have a
vertically aligned dual photo sensorand not
horizontally like on the iPhone 7 Plus. In addition, this iPhone would integrate a
second photo sensor on the frontprobably linked to
3D and augmented reality features.

This secret informant claims that the iPhone Edition prototype
would look like this representationmade by iDrop
News.

A Foxconn employee who reportedly spoke privately with the source of
iDrop News reports that the iPhone Edition would integratea two in
metal
and not glass as many rumors suggested. THE
metal would have been judged by Apple to be more resistant to breakage than glass.

Another element contradictory to most recent rumors
concernedthe fingerprint sensor which would be located on the back
of the device
and not under the front screen.

This could be due to technological issues faced by Apple
to integrate this year a new type of sensor under the screen.

Finally, this same source confirms that the iPhone Edition would indeed integrate
a curved OLED screenwhich would be a 2.5D screen going from edge to edge
edge and slightly curved at the edges.

What do you think of such a model?
