Indiscretions: Augmented Reality at the heart of Apple's strategy, on iPhone then with glasses

In January, the famous blogger and evangelist
American, Robert Scoble, said, citing sources close to the company
Carl Zeiss that a partnership has been established with the Cupertino company to
lancer
augmented reality glasses
in 2018.

And according to publisher Mark Gurman of the American newspaper Bloomberg, Apple
would indeed work onaugmented reality glasses,
but alsofeatures related to augmented reality for
l’iPhone
. The Cupertino firm would for the occasion constitute
a shock team.

According to Mark Gurman's sources, this team would be composed of a
engineer who worked on Facebook's Oculus, Yuri Petrov, and another
Avi Bar-Zeev having participated in the development of Microsoft's HolosLens, two
virtual reality headsets.

The Cupertino company also went to Hollywood to recruit
experts in 3D imaging and special effectswho have
worked on films like Avatar, King Kong, and many more.

This team, which includes software and hardware veterans at Apple,
as well as new recruits specializing in images, would be led by
Mike Rockwell.

The latter previously worked at Dolby, and had advised a young
Meta company, whichmanufactures augmented reality glasseshas
950 $.

In order to accelerate its projects in the field of augmented reality, Apple
also hasbought several companieslike Metaio who
was developing augmented reality software, or even FlyBy Media which
was working on augmented reality features for devices

More than a hundred engineerswork on reality

the next iPhones.

Regarding the iPhone, and according to Mark Gurman's sources,

augmented reality glasses made in Apple could be released
and moved forward
