Shortly before the
last keynote which saw the presentation of the iPhone
was a question of knowing how Apple was going to decline its iPhone range in
term of storage capacities. And the rumors really weren't there

proposed a survey to find out what the capabilities of
most suitable storage. Here is the result of this very close survey

We already had the impression that the most requested capacity on iPhone,
particularly during surveys on orders for previous models, was
generally the 128 GB version. We wanted to check this using a
survey posted online a few days ago. Here is what comes out:
To the question "How much storage memory capacity do you have?
really need a new iPhone?", 6 answers were proposed:
16, 32, 64, 128, 256 and 512 Go.
On more than2 400 voters, more than 40% chose the
ability128 Go. In second place comes the64
Gowith around 32% of the votes.
Then, 6% say they only need 32 GB and barely 1% say they need
visibly comfortable with only 16 GB.
The most greedy are 14% who need 256 GB and around 7% to manage
between 256 and 512 GB of data on their smartphone.
These responses therefore confirm what was expected, namely that at this
day, in 2017 and in the state of the services and formats used on smartphones, it
it would seem thatthe most appropriate storage capacity is 128
Go. This would leave enough margin not to miss
of space while being able to fill the memory with numerous data as desired:
apps, games, photos, videos, etc.
We can then say that Apple, knowing users' appetite for
this capacity, has chosen not to offer it, thus leaving the choice
between that of economy and limited memory: 64 GB, or that of
comfort, with more space than necessary and a price that is still more
salty: 256 GB.
Indeed, with the iPhone 8, 8 Plus and X, going from 64 to 256 GB increases the
price of 170 euros…
For many iPhone 8 or X buyers, the choice will certainly be
move towards the best-equipped version, despite the extra cost, with the idea of not
lose comfort, especially if the previous iPhone had 128 GB of storage space
