iOS 9
has been available for a little over 3 weeks now. Maybe you have
updated your machine from the day of its release, (if not, do not hesitate to
to consultnotre
update guide), and perhaps you have already shared your opinion
lit onthis new OS. Because we gave you the opportunity
to respond to a survey, two weeks agoto know your opinion on
iOS 9in figures and in detail. Here is what comes out:
In 2013,74% of respondents
said they appreciated the iOS 7 update. A year later, they are only
48% of
respondents who responded positively to indicate their satisfaction with
iOS 8.
Regarding iOS 9, we know thatthe launch was quite
chaotic, especially during system update to
some. Apple has also corrected the situation by quickly exitingtwo
updates,iOS
9.0.1et9.0.2, fin
September one week apart.
So in the end, what are your feelings about iOS 9?
The numbers
To the answer “are you satisfied with iOS 9” it isoui
who wins, with 64% of the votesamong nearly 3,000 voters.
A score which is established between that of the very innovative iOS 7 and that much
worse measured last year for iOS 8.
In detail, we still have almosta quarter of voters who say
very satisfied(24%), while40% of voters are
sufficiently satisfied.
On the no side, a little morea quarter of those surveyed are not
really satisfied(27%), while there are only9 %
totally dissatisfied users, or 253 people out of
2810 voters.
Not happy
As is often the case, the most dissatisfied are more audible than the people
satisfied. We therefore find,in the comments here,
amajority of complaints about the latest iOS 9.
And overall, what stands out the most is thelack of
novelties. THEnew applications are not enough
notfor an update of this size, and the improvements of
applications Notes, Mail, Safarido not convincenon
plus.
The only fairly interesting new features are mainly on the side of
latest iPhone 6s with 3D Touch, and on the iPad side with the functions of
multitasking (Slide
Over,Split
ViewetVideo
in inlay). SomeiPhone 6 owners and
previousfeel a littleforgotten by Apple for this update
hasjour.
The other important point that we notice is theimportant name of
bugs reported by users, that it is aboutproblems
update, language changes in applications,
autonomy problems, non-functional Airplay, etc.
Fortunately, Apple, obviously aware of these inconveniences, has very
quickly released2 fix updatesto delete
notably the famous flaw allowingbreak in
in an iPhone without having the unlock code.
Content
On the side of those satisfied, who represent the majority of voters, we are
especially happy withimproved autonomy in generaland the
functionrather efficient energy saving.
The other little extras that please and are often noted are the
shortcut “return to” and the new font. We can also imagine
that new applications and improvements ofNotes, ofSiriet
of thesettingsont
probably participated in bringing everyone back to the yes camp.
Also, users of (recent) iPad tablets seem very happy
to be able to benefit, among other things, from theuseful multitasking tools
now available with iOS 9. We also notelittle
disappointed with these iPad users.
In conclusion,iOS 9 pleased 2/3 of users, ce
isn't the best for Apple, but it's not too bad.Thank you in
in any case to all participantsfor voting and to the commentators
for sharing their opinion.
Now all that remains is to see if theversion
9.1will change the minds of disappointed people and bug victims. We know that this
new version will notably provide support for functions dedicated tothe iPad Pro.
It should therefore beavailable soon, in parallel with the release of
the large format tablet, at the beginning of November.
Otherwise tell us what you would have liked to see appear in this iOS version
9 ?
