We know: the solution
tactile arrival in 2007 with the iPhone was a break with the known stylus
previously, extremely effective on a daily basis, it finds its limit with
the arrival of the first frosts of winter. Indeed, the touch of
the iPhone is based on an electrical exchange between the user's fingers
and the screenbut this is stopped by the use of gloves.
The glove specialists understood this well and quickly offered
adapted models integrating surfaces allowing this electrical exchange and
therefore use the screen with gloves.
Mujjo is one of them and
offers several models of gloveswhich has the particularity of integrating into
the wool of the conductive wires allowingdo not limit touch to
a reduced surface, one or two fingers as often, but the entire
gant.
We took advantage of the cold this week to test:
These gloves in their black version (there are
in several colors) present themselves in a very classic way and nothing
will let their tactile side shine through if not by examining them closely,
with the very discreet presence of lighter threads giving them a color
"China".
Seen up close (very) closely:
A piece of imitation leather bearing the brand is sewn on the wrist, it is
very easy to remove if you don't like it.
The gloves appeared comfortable and relatively warm, however
remaining wool gloves (not very thick) so not as protective as a
breathable material. But what interests us (we are not a blog
of fashion 😉 ) it is above all the performance of the touchscreen.
So let's say it straight away, it works perfectly on an iPhone or iPad
whether or not it is protected by a transparent film. The only case where this
worked less perfectly on an iPad protected by a case
incorporating a transparent film (this oned’Otterbox) Who
is not attached to the screenbut from the hull. Contact
was more difficult in this case.
So, we tested withthe
Defender iPhone 5 case seen here which also incorporates a transparent film
and it worked without problems.
For the rest and standard cases, thecomfort of touch is
appointment. It is undeniable that the possibility of using any
which finger but also any part of the finger, phalanx, extremity,
makes use as natural as without gloves. Only difficulty but
logical and obvious, it is the precision reduced by wearing gloves, but that,
we can't blame Mujjo for that. So, typing an SMS is doable but
will heavily require the spell checker 😉
Be careful, the mesh is made of fine wool, if your iPhone is not protected
by a shell, it can be slippery depending on the model.
In the end, gloves which seduced us, which finallythe
freedom to use your touchscreen phone without freezing your fingersIn
a solution that does not show off and remains elegant.
