After
the Moga controller test hereetthe photos
from the Logitech there, chose promise, chose due.
This week, you were able to discoverthe first
photos of the controller Bluetooth Steelseriesthanks to one of
our loyal readers and we promised you a complete test.
Now it's time to see what this little controller is made of.
bluetooth compatible as wellwith the iPhone than with the iPad.
Mickaël therefore dedicated himself to testing this controller for us and for you
for hours. A few sore thumbs later, here's the
result :
Unpacking
Controller ordered on February 4 and received on the 10th. Delivery was careful and
relatively fast. For those who are most concerned, the manufacturers even send an email
which allows you to follow your package step by step.
The packaging is complete. We therefore find the controller, a shell of
protection, a USB cable for recharging, instructions in French as well as a
soft transport cover. There is no transformer but that of your
Favorite iPhone or iPad will do the job. No information on the capacity of the
battery but according to the manufacturer, the controller is given for 10 hours of games,
which promises great sessions. The connection is via Bluetooth
2.1.
Utilisation
First impressions are good. The materials used are of good
quality and the whole thing seems robust. The controller is made up of a cross
directional, 2 joysticks, a pause button, 4 buttons (A, B, X, Y) and 4
triggers. In addition to this, the connection button is located on the face
back.
On the right side there is a power button and finally,
on the lower part, the charging connector.
Good idea, the protective shell which by positioning it on the back of
the controller allows for a better grip. Note, the hull, whether
on the front or rear side, is difficult to put in place. In fact, it is necessary
manipulate it several times so that it holds correctly.
A l’usage, the buttons are nice and comfortableeven
if the first handling is special. Indeed, the controller is small,
compared to those of home consoles. While this may be surprising at first, this
is not really annoying and you get used to it relatively
quickly.
The buttons fall well under the fingers and the responsiveness is perfect.
Only the L2 and R2 buttons require adaptation time due to their
position on such a small controller. Please note, given the size of the
controller, I find it wise that the L and R buttons are pressed on
the center and not on the outside.
With a suitable support, the iPad or iPad mini transforms into a console
living room. Many games (see the list available via
l’application Phonejoy, many of which are free) are available and for
Most of them make the gameplay easier and more enjoyable.
I particularly appreciated
Bastion,
Oceanhorn,
GTA San Andreas,
Limbo Game,
Dead Trigger 2et
Angry Birds go!.Everything becomes smoother and
naturel.
Indeed, touch controls are a plus for certain games but
the use of a controller, once tried, becomes appreciable, see
essential. The gameplay is made easier, more fluid and the scores
feel it. I have not encountered any particular problem or bug with
compatible games (around twenty tested).
To finish
The iPad combo (mini or not) on a stand, with this controller, is for me
become essential. I really feel like I've finally found what
The iPad was missing to fully enjoy all types of games.
With an iPhone, the experience is more questionable because the screen, necessarily more
small, can hardly be placed close enough to enjoy
fully. Offering a hybrid Lightning and Bluetooth model would perhaps be
the solution to satisfy iPhone and iPad owners.
