The arrival of a new year is generally a good time to make good resolutions. And as always, these will be held for a good fortnight, or even a month for the bravest. After this period, nature comes back at a gallop and these promises made to oneself, and sometimes even to others, are forgotten. But that was before. Because thanks to the iPhone, you will be able to keep these famous good resolutions!
Here is the update of our applications folder to keep your good resolutions. Note that most of the applications in our selection are free, the paid ones are mentioned as such.
Resolution #1: save money
In these delicate times, here is a resolution that will inevitably come to mind for many of us. Everyone likes to save money. Whether it's food, clothing or fuel, here is a selection of apps that will do your wallet good.

Loyalty cards
They can be a good way to save money or get benefits in a particular store. Unfortunately, there are so many of them that you almost need a special bag to carry them all with you.
Thanks to these applications, all this will fit in your iPhone, all you have to do is present the barcode on the screen at the checkout and that's it.
Now you will never forget your loyalty cards again.
Private sales
Let's go a little deeper into savings, talk a little about shopping and more specifically private sales. Slashed prices on branded items and other good deals can be found in these applications. I don't know if you will save money, but in any case you will get good deals:
Budget management
Who says economy, also says budget management. How to put money aside without having an eye on your accounts? This is where the compatibility apps presented below come into play. Linxo is one of the best known, it allows you to see the accounts of different establishments in a clear interface, among other functions for analyzing budgets, notifications and monitoring of banking operations, etc. Bankin' is an excellent alternative, to be tested according to your preferences in terms of interface and compatibility with certain banks and other features:
Purchases and resale between individuals
The second-hand market obviously allows you to save a few pennies, either by buying your iPhone second hand, for example, or by reselling items that you no longer have any use for. Several services offer to facilitate the task of purchasing or reselling from individual to individual.
As a slightly more specific alternative, note the Catawiki app, which allows you to purchase collectibles, works of art most often, through auctions, but you can also find wines, coins, jewelry, and many other things:
At the pump
Here's another way to save money: fuel, especially since prices often vary! There are applications to find the cheapest liter of fuel nearby in an extremely simple way.
The Waze collaborative GPS also allows you to display the prices of gas stations, which is practical, especially outside France and therefore in addition to one of the two apps mentioned above:
And other good deals
And if you haven't saved enough, you can findour file of iPhone applications to achieve all kinds of good deals.
Resolution no. 2: play sports
Here we are already at the time of the second good resolution: to play sports. Nothing better to stay in shape and feel in shape than a little sport. It is often difficult to choose or find the time to get started, so with a coach in your pocket, it is easier. No need to repeat ourselves since a previous file has already been devoted to sport. So I suggest you go there without further delay. You will find around thirty applications for running, cycling, fitness and even yoga., all you have to do is choose.
Resolution #3: sleep better
After sport, you have to think about recovering… I said after (!) sport. One of our good resolutions is to take the time to rest. Thanks to the following applications, it is possible to optimize your sleep, but also to fall asleep more easily and relax.

Sleep Cycle
Even though it seems complicated, this application promises to wake you up at the best time. How ? The app records sleep and determines the different cycles of each night. Thanks to this she is able to wake up at the ideal time. As a bonus, night statistics are available.
White Noise
There is another app that allows you to fall asleep with many repetitive noises allowing (for some) to relax. Regularly updated and improved, I named “White Noise”.
Rain, Rain
Rain, Rain allows you to listen to ambient sounds, from rain to the sound of foam to storms to burning fires, there is something for everyone. The application is free, but it is possible to purchase additional sound packs. The application also offers a timer function which allows you to decide how long the sound continues to play. The ambiances are of high quality, the looping is rarely audible.
Resolution #4: eat better
Doing sports, resting or even relaxing, all of this is useless without a good diet. Here are some applications to help you in this quest for healthy food.
Respect the seasons
First of all, why not start by eating seasonal products? It's good for the taste and flavors, but it's also good for the planet. In short, it's good for everyone. Believe me, strawberries in December are not normal.
Beware of additives
We hear about “E” almost everywhere, these food additives which we know are not necessarily great without really knowing what they are. Thanks to the following application you will be able to obtain all the information on these “E”.
We are what we eat
Finally, to help in these quests for the most balanced foods, here is a reference app in the genre, Yuka. This indicates the composition of the products scanned using the camera and specifies their defects and qualities. So, thanks to Yuka, it is very easy to see which cakes have too much sugar for example, or too much palm oil, and to then find which brand offers the healthiest ones. This obviously works for almost any type of product with a barcode found in stores. In any case, thousands of references are already included thanks to the free Open Food Facts database.

Resolution no. 5: keep myself well informed
It can be important to follow the news to at least try to better understand the world around us. It is also useful for keeping up to date with events in the country, your region and your city. On the other hand, there are many people who do not like to make the effort to be interested in the news of the day. Others don't know what to watch/read/listen to, or even how. Fortunately, the iPhone can be a real help for this, with these few very practical apps, as seen in our file dedicated toiOS apps so you don't miss any news.
24matins
24matins.fr is a media launched in 2012 and published by ADN Contents, an independent publisher of web content also publisher of the technical news blogBegeek.fr. 24matins aims to be generalist, widely covering current events, from sports to cultural to technical, including politics and the celebrity press. Its mobile app has the particularity of being highly customizable, both in the organization of news and in their theme. It's up to everyone to choose their favorite news feed. Another advantage is that the news is summarized in a single sentence in the “flash” tab, which is very practical for catching up on the day's news in the blink of an eye.
The World
Another essential, the Le Monde newspaper app. The articles touch on all areas, so there is something for everyone. Notifications alert you to important events of the day. In short, an app whose content is definitely worth a look.
Radio.fr
The big radio stations are generally on point with information. The radio.fr app, free, is very useful for listening to the radio via the internet. Many stations are there, French, but also foreign. And then it is possible to put some of them as favorites to find them easily.
Molotov.tv
The reference for watching TV on iPhone or iPad, Molotov.tv is therefore the ideal ally for following television news, but not only that. It also allows you to watch shows in streaming and on delay. Jolie is well done, we haven't finished mentioning it in our apps files.
Resolution no. 6: stop smoking
This file would not be a real good resolutions file if it did not contain the famous and nevertheless essential resolution to stop smoking. The App Store is full of apps on the subject, but here's one that we think stands out: Kwit. With a minimalist design, Kwit attempts to give a fun aspect to quitting smoking. The more time passes, the more successes we unlock, which are all supports to hope to hold on. In addition to this, statistics updated in real time allow for example to simply know the savings made, but also the number of 'unsmoked' cigarettes, the CO not inhaled or even the average life expectancy gained. Again, it does a lot of good to take a look at it from time to time. Kwit works by subscription. The app can be used for free, but to access advanced functions, Kwit Pro plans are offered.

Resolution no. 7: organize your papers
Making good resolutions also means learning to make time to devote yourself to new activities. As working time is difficult to compress, it is obviously at home that we will have to
learn to organize yourself.
Organize your invoices
Digiposte is a service set up by La Poste. He wants to replace your small, often misplaced file cabinet with lots of overflowing invoices. Do you see what I'm talking about? In this application, you can keep track of everything administrative and related to the house: EDF, ISP, telephone operator and so on. Thus, Digiposte offers to save virtually all your papers. Thanks to the app, you no longer need to rummage through your old files, everything is always tidy within reach of your iPhone:
Also consider:Dropbox, one of the best cloud services on the market, available on Mac and iOS in particular.
A virtual filing cabinet
The well-known cloud-synchronized notes application Evernote also allows you to import, manage and store PDFs and therefore invoices and papers of all kinds. The documents are also accessible vial’interface web. Even though the app is free, its use is limited and a paid subscription becomes necessary for a little more advanced use.
An alternative exists from Microsoft, it is OneNote, a digital notepad that uses the OneDrive cloud.
In the paid genre, but without subscription, there is also the very good Devonthink To Go application:
Resolution No. 8: take care of the environment
The environment is an increasingly present concern in our daily lives. However, it is not necessarily easy to know where to start. Some time ago, we put together a little iPhone application file on the subject for you, don't hesitate toconsult itto be greener in the future.
