Twitter shuts down its official Mac app

In order to concentrate its
efforts on the Twitter web platform, the firm behind the social network
the blue bird decided tostop the development of the app
macOS. This is no longer available for download and will not be
no longer supported within 30 days precisely. Different reasons can
explain this decision, in particular a too low number of downloads
for the Twitter app on Mac, but also the possible use to come from here
a few months of the iOS app, still maintained, on macOS. Apple could
effect allow the use of mobile apps on Mac by the end of
the year:

So, if this cross-platform use of iOS apps is confirmed,
Twitter would no longer need a specific app for macOS, and
the Mac user could then use the iPhone and iPad app on their
Apple computer.

Overall, however, the shutdown of the Twitter app on Mac is necessarily
synonymous with ainsufficient use of the latter,
while in addition, she was onlyrarely updated. Et
critics were also not favorable to it, with a rating of
1.5 stars out of 5on its Mac App Store page, especially since the
web platform was always next to thatmore practical to
to use.

And even though it remained free from start to finish, users
seem to have turned over time towardsapps
alternativespaid, like the famous Tweetbot,
available here on the Mac App Store, or Twitterrific,
available there.
