Vision Pro: Apple acts as if Meta does not exist

The Apple company published a press release a few days ago in which it promoted Apple Arcade for its Vision Pro. As a reminder, this is the firm's platform dedicated to video games. As the name suggests, the games are more of an arcade type, soeasy to learn and quickly entertaining, rather than complex and realistic simulations requiring a certain amount of experience.

Concerning its Arcade platform for the Vision Pro, Apple is continuing in this direction and providing its users with a well-stocked catalog, in whichseveral titles exclusively reserved for headphones.

Apple acts as ifMetadid not exist

In its press release, Apple reports the following comments from the general manager of its Arcade branch, Alex Rofman:

This is just the beginning of a new era in gaming, in which players are fully immersed in stunning game worlds and interact with games in their physical environments in new and astonishing ways. — We're leading the way in bringing players unique space games on Apple Arcade that are only possible on Apple Vision Pro, and we're excited to soon bring even more magical space gaming experiences to our customers.

We know that Apple never talks about its competitors, and this is to its credit, because it is an admission of weakness and a sign that we place ourselves below the brand on which we speak. This does not mean that it completely ignores the competition, but its communication strategy is clear on this subject: never talk about it publicly. However, here it is about more than that.

Apple, through the general manager of Arcade, brushes aside everything that has accomplishedMetain terms of AR/VR video games. Zuckerberg's company has indeed been offering video games of this type for a while now, but it simply does not use the term "space game". If Apple has innovated on certain aspects of augmented/mixed reality, in terms of gaming on the other hand, Alex Rofman's comments seem to be in opposition to the reality on the ground, particularly with regard to "which are only possible on Apple Vision Pro».
