Apple Glass, the latest coup for Tim Cook?

In his newsletterPower On, American journalist Mark Gurman this weekend shared his predictions regarding the future of Apple's management. We learn in particular that he estimates the departure of Tim Cook at least in 2025, or even until 2028. The CEO will then have remained more than fifteen years at the head of the firm, granting himself the reins from the departure of Steve Jobs following his illness.

In order to go out in style, his former protégé could take advantage of the officialization of a new brand product: connected glasses. This is far from the first time that such accessories have been talked about, so much so thatsome claim to already know the subcontractor who will be responsible for manufacturing them. What's more, we can no longer count the multiple Cupertino patents which schematize an object of this size.

A juicy contract in the running

Another major factor that could play into the end of Tim Cook's reign: his actions. We know in fact that it has numerous stock options which still have to wait several years before being unlocked. Already a virtual billionaire, it's hard to believe that he will deprive himself of it, especially after having acquired a taste for a rather sumptuous lifestyle,the essential security and private jet travel as a bonus.

But then, who could succeed him? Well according to Gurman, it would be neither more nor less - and logically - than the current COO of Apple.Jeff Williams is thus considered the number two in the company, for example presenting the Watch Series 6 during a keynote on September 15. He should also be present at the next conference, scheduled for next month according to numerous rumors.

What do we know about Apple Glass?

If the destiny of Tim Cook is indeed linked to Apple Glass, as the editor ofBloomberg, then everything suggests that it is indeed still far from being fixed. Because for the moment, the only information we have about the mounts remains speculative. We have in turn assured that they would offer an augmented reality experience, that they would solve the problem of overheating of their competitors at Google or that they could scan food, but only the future will tell us.
