Update – Apple TV+ will premiere the film Greyhound with Tom Hanks

Initially, the new filmGreyhoundwritten and performed by Tom Hanks was scheduled to be released in theaters on May 7. However, its release was pushed back to mid-June before it was decided that the date would be set later due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Apple TV+ obtains the rights

Deadlinereports that many streaming services have fought for the rights toGreyhoundand the right to preview it on their respective platforms. Ultimately, it was Apple who stepped up to the plate to pay out an amount of around $70 million and achieve its goals. Despite everything, the release date of the film on Apple TV+ is not yet known.

After this preview release on the streaming service, the film should see the light of day in cinemas in France on June 24, if the health situation allows the reopening of places.

More than thirty US Navy ships cross the north Atlantic, a risk zone, while they are followed by several Nazi submarines. For several days, they were unable to benefit from air support and had to fend for themselves at sea while Commander Krause was at the head of the destroyer USS Keelin, codenamed Greyhound.
