While the iPhone 16 isn't even out yet,the 17th has already caused a lot of ink to flowand gives the impression that it will mark a turning point in the history of Apple smartphones.
About the 16th, the most reliable informants have already brought usquite a bit of data about him. We know that the basic models should benefit from an Action button, but alsomaybe a Capture button. The camera should benefit from a significant improvement, whilethe screen may change slightly.
The 16 Pro should for its part be larger than the 15 Pro, so that Applecan accommodate a periscope tetra prism lens. The latter constitutes, as a reminder, in addition to the size, the only difference between 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max.
The iPhone 16 range should alsobenefit from Wi-Fi 6E, but will probably be deprived of a major technology that is already present on the Samsung Galaxy S24.
Does the anti-reflective screen change everything?
Here is a photo of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, equipped with its anti-glare screen, next to an iPhone 15, which does not benefit from this technology:

It is aboutGorilla Glass Armor technology, developed by Corning. Compared to a traditional screen, it would be capable ofreduce glare by 75%, which is quite incredible, as shown in the photo above. Especially since the Gorilla Glass Armor display would bemicro-scratch resistantwhich can build up over time if the screen is not protected.
The “Ceramic Shield” screen of the iPhone 15 is also developed in partnership with Corning, but does not offer as effective anti-glare technology. Regarding solidity, however, Apple claimed when the iPhone 15 was released that its screen was “tougher than any smartphone glass". But at that time, the Samsung Galaxy S24 had not been released.
Too late ?
If Samsung users can already benefit from an ultra-resistant anti-glare screen, this is not the case for Apple users. The latter will probably have to wait for the iPhone 17, as mentioned by the Chinese information site “Instant Digital”. According to them, the screens would have been handed over to the iPhone supply chain, but it is alreadytoo late for them to be integrated into the 16. It will therefore be the iPhone 17 which should be entitled to it, with other important changes, such as the disappearance of Dynamic Island.
The iPhone 17 and 17 Plus should alsotake advantage of ProMotion technology(screen refresh rate of 120 Hz), which was long overdue on the base models. Even if some people do not (yet) have a sharp enough eye to see a difference on the screen (probably out of habit), it isvery realand visible. Especially when going from 60 Hz to 120 Hz,then we go back.
