Gurman: several MacBooks and focus on watchOS 10 in June

  • 15-inch MacBook Air M2 and another laptop reportedly showcased at WWDC
  • Many new features are also expected for watchOS 10
  • Three Apple VR headsets are apparently in the works

If Apple does not deviate from its annual habits, June 5 should be synonymous with iOS 17, watchOS 10, iPadOS 17, tvOS 17 and a new version of macOS. It is in fact on this date that theWWDC, its summer event for developers and where the latest versions of its mobile operating systems are generally presented. But that's not all, because according to Mark Gurman the D-Day announcement schedule turns out to be much busier than this.

The analyst, a specialist in confidential operations for the Apple brand, believes in particular that several laptops will be revealed for the occasion. So, while all eyes seem to be on the very powerful Mac Pro, the15-inch MacBook Air M2could be accompanied by a MacBook Pro or a MacBook Air M3. Of course, let's remember that these are just simple hypotheses and that we will have to wait for confirmation from the manufacturer to be sure.

New for connected watches

With this, Mark Gurman also thinks that, during the event, the focus will be on the new features of watchOS 10. And for good reason: whilethe next Apple Watchmay not be released this year, the manufacturer has every interest in compensating with software improvements for already existing models.

Recently, we have also been able to discovera rather attractive conceptexpected changes to the wrist. It is true that today, despite serious additions on the health side at Apple, the competition continues to offer very complete wearables too: it is time for Cupertino to stand out. This would therefore be done in June, withthe most significant update to watchOS since its debut in 2015– says Gurman again. The researcher has already seen it right dozens of times last year.

More VR headsets in the works

Finally, Gurman also believes that Apple, which should unveil its first virtual reality headset at WWDC, is in fact preparing no less thanthree. One of them would be even more powerful than the product that could be released this year, perhaps enough to overshadow the HTC Vive. As for the third, it will probably be a more affordable edition than the others, the aim of which will be to democratize the model among the general public. The chips are down.
