The strength of the iPhone XR: its autonomy! The best… of all the iPhones ever offered!

Usually for iPhones, it is generally the large models that have the best battery life. Namely the Plus versions, or now “Max”. While waiting for the tests of the new machines, Apple has presented the autonomy stats of each machine on its site.

It appears from the figures published on the technical sheet that the cheapest iPhone in the 2018 collection is also the one thatoffers the best autonomy. Better yet, this goes well beyond this year's iPhone lineup. :

Indeed,l’iPhone XRwhich is not available until next month, would bethe iPhone which offers the best autonomy among all the models offered by Apple... since the very first model.

The iPhone XS is thus displayed with 30 minutes more battery life than that of the iPhoneiPhone XS Maxoffer1.5 hours more battery life than iPhone.

L’iPhone XR propose1.5 hours more battery life than iPhone 8 Plus, but the latter has better autonomy than the iPhone X.

The most expensive model in the new range is the one that offersthe best autonomy.

Moreover, when we look at the different figures depending on usage, we notice that the iPhone XR exceeds the iPhone XS Max on several points.

For example, when browsing the internet, the XR offers 15 hours and 13 hours for the XS Max. For video playback, the XR offers 16 hours of battery life, and 15 hours for the XS Max.

With each new generation, Apple generally advances autonomy but by very small leaps. And surprisingly, for once, it is not the largest model with its large battery, which wins the prize for autonomy.

These are figures from Apple's tests, it remains to be seen what they will be like when used on a daily basis.
