iOS 17: only 23% of iPhones have been updated by their owner

One might think, with the arrival of a new version of iOS, that users would have rushed to install it, in order to benefit from its new features. However, the iOS 17 update contradicts this belief. Indeed, according to the latest data relayed byMixpanel, there would bethat 23% of iPhoneswhich would have been updated. Even if it is necessary to put this figure into perspective by taking a few parameters into account, notably the number of non-compatible iPhones, it remains low.

It's always the same

It may seem strange that few users have decided to update their phones. However, if we look back to last year, when iOS 16 was rolled out, we realize that the latter also saw low adoption during its debut. It was necessary to wait several months before approximately70% of iPhones are upgraded. This figure rises to more than 80% when counting only the most recent iPhone models.

Why do people have trouble with updates?

It seems that the fear of bugs is greater than the desire to benefit from new features. We know that the majority of human beings like stability and comfort. Are they waiting for iOS 17.1?

We can imagine that many users followed this update closely, but they preferred not to take the plunge for the moment. In question, the few problems encountered by certain users.
