iOS 17: an annoying Wi-Fi bug on iPhone 15 (updated)

November 2 update:Apple announced to our colleagues at iClarified that iOS 17.2 should correct the Wi-Fi bug described below (source). Remember that iOS 17.2 is currently at the stage ofbeta 1.

October 11 update:according to the latest feedback, it seems that the Wi-Fi bug on iPhone does not only concern the iPhone 15, but also the older models. It would generally come following the user's testing of different beta versions of iOS 17. Resetting your iPhone would allow you to return to normal operation. Do not hesitate to tell us in the comments if you are affected by Wi-Fi problems and if resetting your machine corrected the situation (source).

It's a problem they could have done without. Usersd’iOS 17have reported an annoying bug for a few days concerning Wi-Fi. This mainly affects owners of iPhone 15 but also sometimes iPads.

Concretely, the latter report extremely slow connections with sometimes the impossibility of loading certain content. If the problem sometimes disappears on its own, it may also be necessary to connect and reconnect your device constantly, which logically tends to irritate some customers.

An update soon?

On X (formerly Twitter), user ganweaving.bsky.social lamented:“Do any of you have an iPhone 15 Pro? I wonder if it's just me but the Wi-Fi connectivity is a joke most of the time? I came back to Apple after leaving Samsung but I'm not having fun right now. »

For the moment, we do not know the extent of the phenomenon. Apple has not yet commented on this subject, but we can imagine that its teams are on deck to find a solution. An update should logically come to relieve its users frustrated by this bug likethis has happened often in the past.

This is not the first time that customers of the Apple brand have reported problems in recent weeks, and we are of course thinking ofoverheating observed on iPhone 15 prosince the release of this smartphone.

While waiting to find out more, tell us in the comments if you have also noticed any problems with your Wi-Fi connection following the move to iOS 17? If you have found a temporary solution, do not hesitate to share it with our community.
