iOS 17: 7 new features that we already appreciate

To begin with, it is Safari which, with its version 17, allows you to read the contents of certain web pages orally. This could be very useful for, for example, listening to an article as if it were a podcast while looking out the window.

Here is the procedure to follow to take advantage of this new feature in iOS 17:

open the Safari app on iOS 17 or iPadOS 17
open a web page with text
In the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen, tap the AA button (left)
touchListen to the page

Link notes together

With this, iOS 17 now offers the possibility of creating links in a note of the app of the same name. These links may redirect to other notes.

To create a link in one note to another, simply select text to followa few quick steps.

Create multiple timers at the same time

Another new feature in iOS 17 and iPadOS 17: the ability to launch several timers at the same time, from the Clock app. Simply tap the + at the top right of the screen, and choose the desired duration.

The list of different current or past timers is then displayed in the dedicated tab. It is possible to restart a countdown if it has finished.

Current timers are also displayed on the lock screen.

iOS 17 helps you do laundry correctly

Do you knowVisual search? Similar to Google Lens, this feature recognizes text and certain pictograms when the iPhone camera is brought close to them.

With iOS 17, the option can now detect logospresent on clothing labels. However, it is true that it is sometimes difficult to see clearly when preparing a machine, because some images are very similar.

After laundry,Visual searchalso improves for drivers. Bringing the iPhone lens closer to the dashboard behind the steering wheel, iOS 17now recognizes the lights displayed there. A good way, for example, to be warned if oil or gasoline runs out.

Health comes to iPads with iPadOS 17

For tablets, Apple has chosen to deploy the proprietary Health app on iPadOS 17.

It includes all the features also available on iOS 17, including the new feature of recording your emotional health throughout the week.

How to download maps offline with Apple Maps?

Finally, it is Apple Plans which is equipped with iOS 17 with achange eagerly awaited by many.

This is the possibility of downloading maps, in order to consult them later if the mobile network is not available. This of course requires having sufficient internal storage space.
