In addition to iOS 15, if there is one announcement to remember it is that of iPadOS 15. Apple has lots of new features for the operating system dedicated to its tablets.
The influence of iOS with the power of Apple Silicon
To begin with, we observe very clearlyl’influence d’iOSon iPadOS. As we discovered a few weeks ago, the latest iPads feature the M1 chip. Therefore, we expected to discover some new features on the software side, and the least we can is that we were not disappointed.
As on iOS, iPadOS now relies heavily on widgets and even goes so far as to reinvent this concept. Users will be able to use new sizes of widgets while being able to use any screen to place them as they wish. For iPadOS, Apple has dedicated a real gallery of widgets to easily find the widget you want to add to the home screen.
Here again, we feel the influence of iOS, since iPadOS finally includes a library of applications. By using more widgets, you no longer need to have access to all applications. That's why you now have the opportunity to arrange them correctly in the library.
The multitasking that made an impression during the presentation of iPadOS has been completely redesigned. Although this option still allows two applications to be displayed side by side, a new interface to display these two views has been designed.
With iPadOS, Apple optimizes the concept of Notes by introducing QuickNotes, a new way to take notes without opening the entire application while remaining on the home screen.
The iPad becomes independent
In the future, the Cupertino company explains that iPadOS will give a lot of importance to the translation tool. But not only that, developers now have the ability to fully develop an application from the iPad and even submit it to the App Store. Yet another proof with Universal Control that the iPad is becoming more and more powerful and autonomous.
The final version of iPadOS 15 will be available at the start of the school year. For those who want to take advantage of the beta versions, they should be available in the coming days. As always we strongly advise you to wait for the final version.
