Two weeks after the release of thefirst developer beta, Apple has been offering the second developer beta for several hours for the next versions of the following operating systems:
- iOS 13.4
- tvOS 13.4
- iPadOS 13.4
- watchOS 6.2
- macOS 10.15.4
What changes?
Concerning iOS 13.4, some impressive new features have already been detected, such as a new toolbar in the Mail application allowing you to better organize your emails, a folder sharing function in iCloud, but also the possibility for developers to sell a same app for Mac and iOS with a single purchase, or the appearance of CarKey promising the imminent arrival of the possibility of unlocking a vehicle with your iPhone.
Here are also the remarkable new features brought by this second round of developer beta versions:
- CarKey: iOS 13.4 revealed the upcoming arrival of this function allowing you to unlock a car using the iPhone. And in beta 2, it was noticed that a key generated via CarKey can be shared with contacts via iMessage. They will then be able to unlock the vehicle with their iPhone.
- Apple Mail iOS: new adjustment of the toolbar in the Apple Mail iOS app, with the disappearance of the “flag” shortcut allowing you to highlight emails in your email list, and the appearance of a new email writing shortcut
- App TViOS: new settings options are appearing in the app, allowing you to access Apple TV+ on your iPhone. It is now possible to disable streaming or downloading via cellular internet, or to adjust the quality of downloading via Wi-Fi or cellular internet
- Apple Music sur Mac: Like the iOS version, Apple Music on Mac now supports tracking song lyrics. Please note, not all songs necessarily support this function.
Notice to users registered in the beta testing program for developers, have you installed one of these new beta versions? Have you noticed any changes?
