Palmer: Justin Timberlake's next film will be broadcast on Apple TV+

This is another great move for Apple TV+. The Cupertino company has just announced that it will broadcast the film exclusively on its platformPalmerin which Justin Timberlake plays the leading role. This feature film, directed by Fisher Stevens (Before the flood), should clearly be worth the detour.

Apple is investing a lot to get its streaming service off the ground

The story will allow us to follow the journey of Eddie Palmer, a former great American football prospect who, after a stint in prison, is back in his hometown and tries to regain control of his life. His task is clearly not easy as ghosts from his past resurface and a new challenge appears. He must in fact take care of a young child who has been abandoned by his mother.

Besides Justin Timberlake, Palmer can boast of a quality casting, even if the actors are rather unknown to the general public. We will notably find Juno Temple seen in The Dark Knight Rises, June Squibb who was previously nominated for an Oscar, or even Alisha Wainright who played inMajor Crimes.

In a press release, Apple expressed its pride and listed the previous agreements reached in recent weeks:

Palmer joins Apple's original films, including the recently announced Snow Blind, withJake Gyllenhaalfeatured; The next Killers of the Flower MoonMartin Scorsesewith Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro; Emancipation, by director Antoine Fuqua, with and produced byWill Smith, Oscar nominee; Sharper, a new film from Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka, starring and produced by Oscar winner Julianne Moore; (…) and the next feature film On the Rocks bySofia Coppola, with Bill Murray and Rashida Jones.

This is confirmed day by day, in the streaming war currently underway, Apple does not intend to play second fiddle for too long.
