Apple Maps continues to catch up with competitor Google Maps. While the Cupertino company has already added many practical new features to its application, it is preparing to deploy a basic functionality which was still absent from its navigation app: the possibility of consulting maps without an internet connection. Indeed, until now, it is impossible to use Apple Maps when you are offline. But that will change this fall, when iOS 17 becomes available oncompatible models.
Among the new features announced by Apple in June, there is this functionality for offline use of Apple Maps.“Plans gets new offline maps, allowing users to download a specific area and access guided routes, see their estimated time of arrival, find places in Maps, and use other offline features”, we could read in the announcement published by the firm on the occasion of WWDC.
