- Those who share photos on Flickr most often do so with iPhones
- Android mobiles are far behind
- For the best photos at Apple, choose the Pro models
According to new statistics revealed for the Flickr platform, a sort of Instagram before its time, iPhones are by far users' favorite smartphones for taking photos. THEtwenty four most popular mobilesamong all those whose photos ended up hosted on the app are in fact all Apple brands. And this, without the slightest exception!
The undisputed number one in the ranking being theiPhone 11, released in September 2019 and whose marketing stopped at the end of last year. This device is equipped with a twelve-megapixel wide-angle and an ultra-wide-angle of the same definition on the back, as well as a twelve-megapixel camera also installed on the front for selfies.
And the others, then?
In the ranking relative to Flickr, the first competing smartphone therefore only comes twenty-fifth. This is theSamsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, this time equipped with four dorsal sensors including a ten-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture with “periscope” technology. A solution that Apple has also been looking into for several months, with an expected arrival perhaps on the iPhone 16 Pro by next year.
Google, although renowned for offering photophones among the best on the market, for its part only ranks its first smartphone twenty-sixth in this Flickr ranking. This is the Pixel 6 Pro, since replaced by its successor the Pixel 7 Pro. The latter is available today for 899 euros on the Google Store.
iPhone 13 Pro: good value for money
Today, Apple's best camera phone is without hesitationl’iPhone 14 Pro, which with its triple rear photo sensor obtains excellent scores from most independent comparators. But the device, available from 1,329 euros, may still prove far too expensive for many.
His predecessor,l’iPhone 13 Pro, is therefore rather a good alternative today, with its reduced entry price since Apple no longer offers it in stores. It can be found reconditioned at many resellers, with a technical sheet quite similar to that of the iPhone 14 Pro. On the other hand, you will have to do without the forty-eight megapixel definition: this is only available on the 2022 models.
