Google Maps comes
to be enriched with a new functionality which was being tested on the side of the
Mountain View firm for several months already. This is an indication of
ease of parking at the destination of a driving route.
We were already talking about it last January, however, we did not then know
not the form this addition would take. It's actually a small icon
appearing at the bottom of a validated route, which allows you to know, using 3
degrees of difficulty, if you will have to go around in circles in the neighborhood where you

This functionality is in place for major American cities and is
deploys little by little on the side of the old continent in particular, it is moreover
already the case for Paris, Milan, Rome, and around twenty other large
European metropolises.
The principle is simple, at the end of an itinerary, the last stage of which is
a place in one of these cities, a P for Parking indicates the difficulty of getting
park near the place of interest. The P is colored red, orange or
green depending on the difficulty indicated next to it: "Difficult", "Medium",
"Facile".
These indications are based on parking data which is calculated by
Google according to several other information, such as traffic, popularity
location, visiting times, etc.
This can be useful for those who don't really know the destination.
