iPhone 15 Pro: the Apple Watch Ultra as inspiration

During hisreleased in 2022, the Apple Watch Ultra launched a revival in the Apple Watch lineup. On the one hand, in terms of price, we have reached new heights (the watch starts at 999 euros). On the other hand, new uses have been targeted, more extreme, supported, in particular, by the new “Action” button. The latter serves as an access shortcut. It can be personalized to be used to start, for example, the stopwatch, the flashlight or a specific activity, among others. Wellthe iPhone 15 Pro could also benefit from such an order.

It's spinning... Action!

According to the latest rumors, andnotably one signed Ming-Chi Kuo, this Action button would be exclusive to the 15 Pro models. 9to5Mac confirms this, based on its sources close to iPhone case manufacturers. The latter would indeed have echoed the change in design of the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max compared to the 2022 generation, with precisely the implementation of this new “Action” button on the edge, on the side of the volume buttons .

On the other hand, contrary to what previous reports insisted on at the start of the year, the iPhone 15 and 15 Pro would still presentphysical buttons. For fixed buttons with simulation of pressing, Force Touch style, this year. For this, we would have to wait until next year and the release of the iPhone 16.

Note that the arrival of the Action button on iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max would involve thedisappearance of the “silent” switch. Obviously, users could personalize the “Action” button and associate it with silencing the phone. The advantage of the new command is being able to attach the most useful shortcuts according to your habits, and/or according to the situation.

Knowing in addition that iOS 17 should see acontrol center redesign, we therefore imagine an iPhone 15 Pro running iOS 17 full of access shortcuts everywhere, which doesn't displease me. What do you think?
