Update of August 12, 2021: a fourth public beta has been available for a few hours, for iOS 15, iPadOS 15, watchOS 8 and tvOS 15. We should find the same changes as in beta 5 developersreleased earlier this week.
The general public can now test iOS 15, iPadOS 15, tvOS15, and watchOS 8. Apple had announced a first public beta for these OS for the beginning of July, so the timing is respected.

Many new features are on the program for these new OS, as seen inour list of more than 50 changes for iOS 15 and other new OS features.
Watch out for betas
Please note, we recommend installing a beta version on an iOS device other than your main iPhone or iPad. These are “test” versions which may still be full of bugs. Also, do not hesitate to back up your machine before updating, on iCloud or via iTunes and a Mac/PC.

First make sure you have a compatible device:
- The list of iPhones compatible with iOS 15
- The list of iPads compatible with iPadOS 15
- The list of Apple Watches compatible with watchOS 8
