Rumor: the iPhone rather without ports than with USB-C, and from 2021?

Jon Prosser is an informant who is making a buzz at the moment, thanks to his numerous announcements in recent weeks concerning apple-branded products. It was he who revealed a few days agotechnical data sheet and priceof each new iPhone 12 model. But he also more recently supported a rumor already heard in the past, and this time concerning next year's iPhones.

According to him and other specialists likeMing-Chi Kuoor evenBen Geskin, Apple could offer an iPhone in 2021without any wired connection.

☝️ yep.

One portless iPhone coming next year.

Never USB-C. Eventually, they’ll all be portless.

No more Lightning port for charging, and of course, no headphone port, but no USB-C port either. However, on iPad, Lightning was abandoned for USB-C, and a Smart Connector port also appeared a few years ago on the Pro models and then arrived on the 7th generation iPad.

But the iPhone should not experience this same fate according to the source. This even allows itself to announce that Applewill never choose USB-Cfor the iPhone. The Californian firm would abandon Lightning for everything wireless in the long term. If this is indeed the case, Tim Cook will thumb his nose at the European Union whichasked recentlystandardization of smartphone chargers.

Small clarification all the same, there should still be iPhones with Lightning port in 2021, only one of the new models in the iPhone 13 range possibly could be devoid of any connectivity.
