Mac Keynote “Scary Fast”: the 6 major points to remember

Last night, Apple broadcast a special Mac keynote. Wewe told it in our columnsand have detailed several of the announcements that were made there already this morning. But to make things easier for you, if you haven't been able to read us since last night and if you are looking for an overview of what the Californian firm revealed, this article should satisfy you. Indeed, find below last night's keynote summarized in 5 points.

  • Apple goes third:the Californian firm revealed3 new Apple silicon chips, the M3, the M3 Pro and the M3 Max
  • MacBook Pro 14/16″ :the MacBook Pro 14 and 16″take advantage of these new chips. The M3 is reserved for 14 inches only. For the 16″ model, it’s M3 Pro or M3 Max
  • iMac 24″ :Apple's all-in-one also follows suitand now includes an Apple silicon M3 chip (no M3 Pro or M3 Max)
  • MacBook Pro 13″ :this computerno longer for sale, pushed into retirement by the new 14 and 16″ models
  • No aesthetic change… or almost:the designs of the new machines do not bring anything new compared to older generations. The only change is to be found on the MacBook Pro, which is sold in a new Space Black finish when it integrates an M3 Pro or M3 Max chip. Moreover, the MagSafe charging cable sold aloneis also sold in Space Black now, in addition to the usual colors
  • Point bonus :Apple proudly announced at the end of the conference, the entire Keynote video was filmed on the iPhone, then edited and edited on the Mac

And otherwise:well that's all, no other novelty to mention for this Keynote, as short (30 minutes) as it is effective (and late for France, with a broadcast in the middle of the night at 1:00 a.m.)

Did you watch the Apple keynote? If so, what did you think of it? Otherwise, what do you say about these new Mac features? We are waiting for all your feedback in comments!
