For months now we have been sharing various rumors with you about a new generation of Apple TV. Despite the persistence of these rumors, which already announced the release of the product at the end of last year, still no Apple case on the horizon.
The latest rumor to date which defends the idea of the development of anew Apple TVin Cupertino comes from the site 9to5Mac. The latter in fact announces that the firm is workingon a new remote control, which would be released in 2021.
Details about this new Apple TV Remote are still unknown, but 9to5Mac's sources indicate that this model is under development under the code name“B519”.
For the moment the most recent Apple TV on the market was released in 2017, an eternity for the small world of Apple which has gotten into the habit of very regularly renewing its catalog, with new generations of products.
An unloved remote control?
If some Apple TV users have adopted the Apple brand's remote control at the same time as the box, for others the acclaim is very difficult. Many Apple TV owners have shunned the« Apple Remote »deeming it unintuitive and fragile.
Faced with this problem, replacement solutions for the Apple remote control are multiplying. Last week, information pointing to a new remote control emerged from the depths of the MacRumors site. The latter in fact discovered that the mentions “Siri Remote” which until then referred tothe Apple TV remote control within tvOS had been replaced by “Apple TV Remote”a new name which would be the symbol of the change to come on the Apple Park side.
Already in August 2020, Bloomberg reported that Apple was working on a new Apple TV with a faster chip and a“remote updated”which will work with the Find My app. Bloomberg has since picked up this rumor with new sources, adding that the new Apple TV will be released to the general public during this year 2021.
