Touch ID on the back of the iPhone 8, this rumor that won't die!

The next high-end iPhone of 2017
should leave alooks good on the front screen, au
detriment of the emblematic "Home" button, present since the beginnings of the
Apple smartphone. We mentioned it through supposed diagrams, Apple is
suddenly faced with two choices to maintain one of the safest aspects
and practices of the iPhone: its fingerprint sensor. Either it goes under
the screen and becomes invisible but clearly present on the front panel, or it migrates to the
two of the machine.

Asked about this last possibility, there were many of you
not to appreciate such a change at all
while the most rumors
recent ones seemed to argue for front panel integrationespecially with this
casting part
or
this diagram
. But a new analyst report published this weekend throws
a cold...

The Asian firm CLSA indicates this in a recent report, based on
verifications carried out with Apple suppliers. Apple would like
keep the Touch ID fingerprint sensor on the next
iPhone
(Editor’s note: 3D facial recognition was mentioned for the
supplement), however, the technology allowing it to be integrated under the screen does not
would not be “ripe” and would constitute the main risk during manufacturing
of the machine. Drawing the parallel with Samsung and its recent Galaxy S8
which also could not resolve the problem, the Touch ID would then be placed at
the rear.

But on the other hand it would be far from the camera (avoiding putting the
finger and dirty the lens when unlocking like on the Galaxy). THE
report proposes a diagram of the implementation, which recalls some already seen, and
even has dimensions:

The other elements of this diagram also correspond to several leaks
recent, with the two photo sensors arranged vertically on the rear,
the series of sensors arranged at the top of the front panel and the dimensions
records at Apple for a 5.8-inch screen, closer to those of the iPhone
7 than the iPhone 7 Plus.

So do we have Apple's final choice? Or one of the solutions
considered if the integration of the fingerprint sensor under the screen is not
feasible? The future will tell us!
