The least we can say
it is that therumors about the 2017 vintage of the iPhone
don't miss. Whether oral indiscretions or now
diagrams, it is not always easy to navigate. Furthermore, we cannot
grant all sources the same level of trust.
But if there is one that has earned its stripes on the Apple scene, it’s good
Mark Gurman. This young reporter went from 9to5Mac to a leading media outlet
US Bloomberg was thus able to anticipate many new developments
of Apple in recent years. His latest article returns to the planned iPhones
for 2017. Without providing any real scoop, it has the advantage of confirming what we
recently heard a useful summary for those who have not followed the
many recent news on the subject.
We will not resume
full item details available herebecause most of them have been mentioned
Inour recent iPhone 8 indiscretions
weeks, but here is a summary list of what we should remember from
the 2017 range, knowing that these elements have been verified with sources that
we know close to Apple:
- 3 new iPhone models are planned
- 2 will be improvements to the current range: iPhone 7s and 7s
Plus - the other will be a “high-end” model, the great novelty of
the year. - This model will have a steel frame and a slightly rounded front without
offer a curved display like that of the Galaxy S8. Various profile tests
have been made by Apple in recent months. - The screen will occupy a majority of the front face, allowing for a ratio
maximum screen/machine. Result, a size close to that of iPhone 7 for a
screen larger than that of the iPhone 7 Plus! - This iPhone should be designed like the iPhone 4/4S, namely with a frame
(steel) which holds a rounded glass screen on the front and a rear in
glass - a less ambitious version with aluminum rear and dimensions
less reduced was also tested - The home button will be integrated into the screen
- this new high-end iPhone will use an OLED screen while both
iPhone 7/7S will retain an LCD screen this year (technology currently
used by Apple on its smartphones) - The publication returns to the difficulty concerning the integration of a
fingerprint sensor under the front glass. At this stage we do not know
which solution will be chosen: front or rear for Touch Id. - The iPhone "8" as already seen, will have reduced availability, due to
delicate production (Editor's note: like every year, worse?) - The rear photo/video cell should be double but arranged
vertically to improve the quality of photos on the iPhone 8 model.
Doubt about the presence of a dual sensor on the front remains. - The three models were tested with a new processor engraved in 10
nanometer instead of the current 16 (space saving, energy efficiency)
This is where we seem to be on the 2017 range, so there are still a few
uncertainties linked to the different Apple prototypes, but the robot portrait
of the three models now seems quite precise and stabilized.
