Whilethe WWDC 2022 opening conference has just ended, it is time to take a look at the different announcements heard during this one. For the occasion, Apple has prepared a short summary video in which some of thekey features of iOS 16such as editing messages in the eponymous app or personalizing the lock screen.
The Worldwide Developer Conference was also an opportunity to shed light onwatchOS 9, which can now remind you to take your medication and includes dials with a unique design.
Computers
With this,Apple siliconis equipped with a latest generation processor, the M2. We do not yet know if it will arrive on iPad like its predecessor (the M1) but two Macs can already benefit from it: the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro also unveiled last night. The first is entitled to a notch for the camera and sees its screen enlarged to reach a diagonal of 13.6 inches.
During the keynote, however, we did not hear about aMac Proas some rumors have claimed so far. But Ming-Chi Kuo has just predicted the organization of another conference next January, during which a mixed reality headset should see the light of day.
For the virtual part,macOS Venturais out with improvements for Mail like the ability to cancel sending an email or schedule it.
For developers
Obviously, WWDC also directly affected iOS app creators, particularly with severalAPInew: Shared with You, App Intents and Live Activity. iPads are also now delivered to the Weather app, which has its own software library, while SwiftUI is more efficient and more flexible.
Users will be able to install iPadOS 16, watchOS 9, iOS 16, macOS Ventura and tvOS 16 startingthis fall. Until then, developers can however test this version on their devices but bugs may occur. It is therefore better to wait, probably until the iPhone 14 is released, to take advantage of it.The mobiles are expected in four different versionsfor two screen sizes: 6.1 or 6.7 inches.
