Test of the “Melkco Jacka” leather case with flap for iPhone 5

the “Argos Spigen SGP” flip case for iPhone 5, let us now see
photos what the case is worthMelkco:

First of all, the packaging is quite classic in cardboard with part in
transparent plastic which allows a glimpse of the case.

Once the case is taken out, the first contact is pleasant. The case turns out
very light and particularly thin. Theleather is

The shell part is attached to the flap by a thin part of soft leather which
will allow the flap to be positioned at the back of the hull.

The case fits perfectly and theiPhone 5
easily finds its place.

Once the flap is closed, the case fully protects theiPhone 5, be it the sides, the back and the screen.

The sound adjustment buttons and the vibrator are perfectly
accessible.

We can see that the case is rather thin, especially for a version with
Rabat. This one is quite rigid and looks very solid with a small part
padded on top.

The interior is covered with a very good quality fabric but does not

Despite the strip that connects the shell to the flap, the openings for plugging
your headphones as well as those for the speaker are perfectly
cut.

The flap is held by a small non-magnetic fixing tab at the
center which covers the upper part of theiPhone
5. This part is well adjusted and the case is perfectly held closed. I
never noticed any unexpected opening during the 2 weeks I had it
tested.

The rear part does not suffer from any defects and theopening for
the camera is wide enough to take photos even when using the
flash.

On the other hand, I noticed thesame defect as for the version for
iPhone 4/4S(confirmed by another editor at iPhon.fr who has the
same case). A black coating covers the edges of the tab connecting the
shell to the flap part: if, like me, you position the flap at
the back of the case regularly you will notice quite quickly that
this coating is peeling offleaving the leather bare.

This is not annoying to use but it is regrettable that Melkco
has not corrected the situation since the version for iPhone 4/4S.

In conclusion, if you are looking for a case with a flap, and preferably in
leather, the case signed by Melkco borders on faultless.

In addition, even with the flap positioned at the back of the case, the whole
turns out to be rather thin and the case never appeared to be bulky even when
intensive use of the iPhone.

Finally, Melkco offers the case inseveral colors and
finishes.
