Late last year, Applelaunched a battery replacement programfor iPhone 6 and newer iPhones. This program is still ongoing, butnot for much longer!
It is part of the processor restriction detected last year, when using one of these devices with a worn out battery, under iOS 10.2.1 and later versions.
The program offered by Apple allows you to bring an eligible iPhone to an Apple Store or to an authorized repairer to benefit from a battery replacementat 29 eurosinstead of 79 euros previously. It is also possible to use UPS shipping managed by Apple. But this rate is only valid untilDecember 31, 2018!
Afterwards it increases…but not that much. The details:

Next year, iPhone battery replacement will increase to a price of49 euros. This for all iPhones,the exception of the iPhonewho will be his69 euros.
It should be noted that before the launch of this program, the usual price for this change was79 euros. Apple therefore decided to lower this price by30 euros.
As a result, it becomes less interesting to go through a third-party repairer. This allows you to have an original battery certified by Apple. However, we have already seen examples of third-party batteries that catch fire, so it is preferable for this chemical component to go through Apple or an approved repairer.

So don't forget to take advantage of this program before December 31 if your iPhone is affected. This allows you to replace the used battery at a lower cost and get several years of use again.
If appointments at the Apple Store are impossible, due to distance, or a lack of available places, please note that it is also possible to go throughsending via carrier. The price is then increased but the service is (normally) fast and quite similar. We experienced this at the beginning of December: an iPhone picked up by UPS on Monday returned on Wednesday, with packaging directly by UPS which comes to pick it up, then brings it back. This adds an additional cost of around ten euros.
